I snuck backstage before that show with my acoustic bass. They laughed and commented that is was slightly concerning that I was able to sneak in, but they happily obliged and signed my bass. Not ONLY that, they brought me up front and told me to chill right there in front of Perin until the end of the show. When they finished the set, Bender and Perin motioned to me to follow them. We smoked a joint together and shot the shit for 30 mins or so. They even invited me out for drinks, but me, being an idiot, turned down the offer. I had a bus to catch to Montreal the very next morning. I still kick myself for that to this day, but MAN was that an amazing night. They played a killer show.
